Worship at Christ the King

ctk cross.jpg

Worship is the most important thing we do. Our mission statement, “to worship our crucified and risen King,” captures the joy and reverence that we desire every Sunday. Our worship follows the Anglican Common Liturgy, which means we follow an order of service through Scripture, prayers, hymns, sermon, and sacraments.

The Sunday 8:30 a.m. service is a spoken service (there is no congregational singing). It is always a service of Holy Communion. This service is a bit briefer than our 10:00 service. Childcare is available for children 0-PreK.

The Sunday 10:00 a.m. service of Holy Communion begins with a full procession of acolytes, service attendants and clergy. We are led in hymns and songs of praise on organ and piano. In addition to our nursery (0-3), Children’s Church is offered during this service for children from age 4 through 2nd grade.

The Tuesday noon service is a spoken service of Holy Communion, including a brief homily and extended time of prayer.
