Small Group Sign-Ups
September 1-14. Narthex.

Litter-Free Alexandria
Give a gift to our neighbors near the church and help make our city cleaner. Join other CtK members in picking up trash in our neighborhood. Bring work gloves. CtK will supply trash bags and grabber tools. Children accompanied by parents are welcome.
Music Ministry Kickoff
All current and prospective participants are encouraged to join our ministry-wide kickoff for the season. Enjoy refreshments, reflections, and fellowship as you learn all you'll need to know to participate in Music Ministry.
Parish Picnic
Our program year kicks off with an all-parish picnic on the lawn, and an opportunity to sign up to serve. The church will provide the main course and drinks, and ask that you, according to your last name, bring Sides (A-R) and Dessert (S-Z). Please bring your items to Room A. ALPHA Course
Tuesdays beginning September 15. 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Narthex/Lobby.
If you have an itch for evangelism or have a friend you've wanted to bring to church but didn't know how, or have unanswered questions about the Christian faith, Alpha is the course for you. Alpha is a class where you can ask anything as we explore the Christian faith over 8 weeks. Each session looks at a different question and is designed to create conversation. There is no pressure, no follow-up and no charge; it’s just an open, informal, and honest space to explore and discuss life’s big questions together.

Ladies’ Monthly Hike
Monthly hikes are a chance to connect with other women at the church, to spend time in creation, and to acknowledge our Creator. The paths are relatively smooth and flat (not strenuous). After the hike we enjoy coffee, snacks, and time for fellowship and prayer.

Liederabend
Join us for a meditative evening of German Liederabend in our sanctuary at twilight. Wilkerson and Talamantes will guide us through a range of spiritual themes such as twilight longing and prayer; night and darkness; evening benediction and thanksgiving.

Handel’s Messiah
Christ the King Choir and Friends will offer Handel's Messiah Part 1 during the 9:00 a.m. service on December 6. Invite your friends and neighbors to this special celebration of the season.
Womens’ Christmas Tea
This annual event is a wonderful tradition in our church and great opportunity for those without a church home. You'll enjoy tea and refreshments, good conversation and a simple reminder of the good news that we celebrate at Christmas.

Chorister Camp
Young singers from grades 2-5 are invited to join us for our annual Chorister Camp! Participants will learn singing fundamentals and prepare two anthems which they will present for a clinician on Saturday. Registration fee is $30 to cover the cost of t-shirts and materials.

Men's Low Country Boil
Join the men of the church for our annual summer tradition of crabs, sausage, corn, and conversation. This casual gathering is a great way to connect with other men of the church.
Summer Education & Formation
Join us for guest speaker Chris Stirewalt who will give a presentation entitled “Between Two Worlds”, focused on the distinction between a Christian journalist and a journalist who is a Christian.
Song, Poetry & Art Share
Join us on Friday, July 31 at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of sharing, connection, and encouragement. Come celebrate the creative gifts God has given us and enjoy time with other artists from around the DC area. Bring a song, poem, or work of visual art to share. We hope this will be a place where artists can meet one another, share their work, and leave encouraged.
This event is free, but registration is required so we can plan accordingly and know who will be joining us. Register here.

Sacred Recital with Simone Paulwell
July 19. 3 p.m. Join our Friend of Music Simone Paulwell for an afternoon of sacred music, Sunday, July 19 at 3:00 p.m., hosted in our own CtK sanctuary! The gorgeous selections will make it feel more like a service of worship than a concert! Hope to see you there.

CtK Kids’ Fit Club
Saturday mornings in July. 8:30-9:15. Two CtK families launched a ‘Kid’s Fit Club’ for kids 4 and older. 45 minutes of jogging and other exercises. Bring water! Adults need to be present (no drop-off)

Celebrate the new confirmands and members at the 10:00 am service with Bishop Chris. Then join us for our annual spring parish potluck picnic with entree and set up provided by the church!

A panel will address the global, missional, and local hope and challenges in the Anglican Church. Panelists include: Dr. Albert Thompson, Rev. Alex Banfield Hicks, and Jack Waters.
