There are many daily devotionals. Encounter with God is a devotional we recommend. It is short, encouraging, and meaningful reflection on the Word of God.

Financial Stewardship

The “Financial Stewardship” ministry of Christ the King provides regular workshops, financial tools, and personal counseling in order to help members of the church experience greater financial peace.

For most, money is a source of anxiety. Despite Jesus’ encouragement to the contrary (M. 6:34), most of us worry about tomorrow. However, through faithful biblical stewardship and wise financial planning, we can experience more freedom and peace with our finances.

Christ the King is blessed with wise, discreet members who are able to provide general financial guidance and accountability regarding budgeting, debt relief, and savings.

Personal Financial Counseling: this resource is limited to those who have a pre-existing relationship with the church. Contact the church office if interested in this resource. Below are some other good tools to help you experience greater financial peace.

A congregant’s lease end May 2024 and is looking for housing. He has attended CTK since 2021 and is a very organized, quiet, mid-20’s Christian male looking for a place that is about 30 minutes from Springfield / Ft. Belvoir, VA. For the Nations Ministry is in need of English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers, as well as a Children’s Program Director and Childcare Workers. More information and job descriptions can be found below.

Part-time Personal/School Aide for Raphael, a child with spina bifida. A great job for a college student since there is plenty of time between interventions to study! Location: Alexandria, VA (school is hosted at First Baptist on King St).
Schedule: ~9:45am-2:45pm, M-F. Duties: Assist with catheterization and g-tube bolus water flushes (4 times total during school day), help with transfers into and out of his wheelchair when going out to the playground. The pay is $500/week. Please contact the church for more information or to apply.
