Stuck - Syllabus
A broad series to shed light on dynamics which perpetuate pain, hinder growth and thwart the abundant life we are promised in Christ, including boundaries, forgiveness, medications, and much more.
Exploring the Poetry of the Psalms - Syllabus
This series will explore the book of Psalms, the great poetry collection of the Bible, through the poet's eye. It will look at the structure and themes of the book; examine the characteristics of Hebrew poetry and discuss how they support and convey meaning; consider the theology of the psalmists; and look at how the psalms have been used, treasured and understood by both Jews and Christians through the ages.
Reinhold Niebuhr: Prophetic Christianity and the Recovery of Augustinian Thought - Syllabus
Writer, preacher, professor, and thinker, Reinhold Niebuhr was the foremost American theologian of the twentieth century--and perhaps the greatest Protestant theologian in America since Jonathan Edwards. In this course, we will explore Niebuhr's life and thought, and consider how his neo-Augustinian account of human nature and biblical-prophetic history might inform a Christian response to the current issues confronting both the Church and our wider culture.
